MUSYCA's artistic director, Mikhail Shtangrud conducted the American premiere of a cantata by composer Daniel Kessner, Cantique aux animaux. The 30-minute, 6-movement work was originally commissioned and performed by the Nantes Cathedral choirs in France.

The American performance took place at the Colburn School's Zipper Hall with Colburn Community Chorale, Concert Choir and Young Men's Chorus, accompanied by the guitar quintet, featuring Alexandra Iranfar and Timothy Sherren of the One Great City Duo, Warren Haskell and Kenton Youngstrom.
