Audition for MUSYCA Children’s Choir Spring 2025 Season: Submit Your Video Audition Today!
Boys and girls who love music and singing are encouraged to audition for MUSYCA Vocal Ensembles!
We are currently accepting video submissions for our Spring 2025 season and are looking for students ages 3 to 25 who have musical potential, are passionate about singing, and are eager to learn and be part of a great team.
Elementary, middle, and high school students are encouraged to audition for a spot in one of our advanced vocal ensembles. College students and young adults are welcome to join our Chamber Singers, an advanced a cappella ensemble that performs a mix of contemporary and classical repertoire.
Auditions are not required for kids ages 3-6, who are welcome to enroll in our SuperSingers and KinderChoir. Please email us or call to request the registration materials.

The choir has seven sequential levels:
Chamber Singers (SATB, ages 16–27)
Young Men’s Chorus (ages 14–18)
Harmony Ensemble (ages 13–18)
Melody Choir (ages 10–13)
Junior Chorus (ages 7–10)
KinderChoir (ages 5–6)
SuperSingers (ages 3–4)
MUSYCA also has an adult Community Chorale, which is open to singers ages 18 and above.
What to Expect at the Audition
The audition is designed to be a positive, fun, informal, and stress-free experience. Only MUSYCA's artistic staff will see your video audition. You will be asked to submit a short song selection, performed from memory, a cappella. A simple phone video recording is acceptable. Advanced singers will be asked to vocalize to demonstrate their vocal range and sight-read a short musical passage. Our faculty will review your submission and recommend a choral ensemble placement that fits each singer's age and vocal development.
What to Sing at the Audition
Any song will do, performed from memory and a cappella (without accompaniment). Advanced singers may choose to prepare a folk song, art song, musical theatre piece, or an aria. There is no minimum time requirement for the song; usually, one verse and a chorus are sufficient. Choose a piece that your child loves to sing and knows well.
Upcoming Tour
As part of their journey with MUSYCA, choir members may have the opportunity to participate in a summer tour to Brazil and Argentina in 2025. This experience will be a highlight of the season, allowing singers to engage with diverse cultures and perform in new settings.
